Mount Bromo
Bromo is an active volcano in East Java, Indonesia, located in the Tengger Mountains. At 2,329 meters (7,641 feet), it is not the highest peak in the massif, but it is the most famous. The area is one of East Java's most popular tourist destinations, and the volcano is part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Bromo is derived from the Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. Mount Bromo is located in the "Sea of Sand" nature reserve (Javanese: Segara Wedi or Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), which has been protected since 1919.
Mount Bromo is usually reached via the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. It takes about 45 minutes to walk to the volcano from there, or you can take an organized jeep tour that includes stops at the Mount Penanjakan viewpoint (2,770 m (9,500 ft)) (Indonesian: Gunung Penanjakan). The attractions of Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours.
Ijen crater
The Ijen volcano complex is a group of composite volcanoes in East Java, Indonesia, near the Banyuwangi and Bondowoso regencies. It is notable for its blue fire, acidic crater lake, and laborious sulfur mining.
The Ijen volcano, located west of Gunung Merapi, has a turquoise-colored acidic crater lake one kilometer (0.62 miles) wide. The lake is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation, in which sulfur-laden baskets are carried from the crater floor by hand. The work is well compensated in comparison to the cost of living in the area, but it is physically demanding. Workers earn about US$13 per day and must transport sulfur chunks three kilometers to the nearby Paluding Valley to be compensated.
Kalibaru
Geographically, Kalibaru sub-district is located in the western part of Banyuwangi Regency. To the north and west, it borders Jember Regency, and to the south, it borders Pesanggaran sub-district. The elevation of the Kalibaru area is 428 meters above sea level.
The center of activity in the Kalibaru District is located at the Kalibaru Wetan Market, situated in the city of Kalibaru Wetan. In addition, Kalibaru District has tourist and rest places such as Hotel Margo Utomo, Kalibaru Cottages, Panorama Raung, and Hotel Jember Asri. Kalibaru District is also an area with many coffee plantations due to its location in the highlands. The plantations are Malangsari Plantation (famous for producing Kopi Lanang, a type of robusta coffee with a distinctive aroma), Glen Falloch, and Watulempit, which are part of PTPN XII. Perkebunan Nusantara XII (Persero) has a plantation tourism site equipped with a restaurant and a family playground.
